Working on paper/card also resulted in the work morphing with conventional sketchbook drawing and computer manipulation in photoshop etc, the results being essentially collage in nature.
something as simple as cropping an image has had a massive effect. I have done several cropped details of the work below, the initial work on card was done with this in mind- that it might be interesting to blow up larger and experiment with. hence the dense almost hedge like quality, reminiscent of Pollock type abstraction, I was also thinking of Mondrian and Franz Kline, who used the technique of large scaled up interpretations of black and white text type marks.
